Another pipe show down, New logo, New trailer

We had a great time at the show in Chicago last weekend. We met some more great folks in the pipe world and wish there were another couple of days to meet and get to know even more. Special thanks to Frank Burla and Craig Cobine for putting on an awesome show and taking great care of us. Also thanks to Rick Newcombe, Lars & Nanna Ivarsson, Manduela, Mimmo, Lee Erck and several others for amazing interviews and support.

We also have a new logo! Thanks to Drew Melton at Just Lucky for the excellent design work.

A brand new trailer is up on the trailers page. This one is about what a pipe maker feels when looking at the wood.

Thanks to the generous support of Frank Burla and Craig Cobine, we’re headed to the Chicagoland International Pipe & Tobacciana show in May. We’ve got a table reserved and will be handing out info on the project, playing the trailer, accepting donations, filming, shopping and all around enjoying the show. Should be a great time and hope to see you there!

A Successful Shoot up North

In July of 2012 we loaded up a couple vehicles of gear and headed to the upper peninsula of Michigan to film at Lee Erck’s shop. Over two long days of filming, we got to know Lee and his place very well. At heart, he is a true craftsman, dedicated to and absorbed by his work. His passion was a huge inspiration for us and the images we captured in 5K Red Epic with Arri Master Primes were absolutely stunning. Lee will be an integral part in the doc and we’re excited to share more of his experience.
